Right out of college, I landed at a startup that blended interior design with e-commerce furniture sales. Total chaos—in the best and worst ways.
So I walked. It was risky, but I trusted my gut—because a scary, unknown path beats a lifetime of what ifs.
I wore every hat—managing construction jobs, sourcing furniture, flying to trade shows. And honestly, I loved it. The pace, the problem-solving, the unpredictability? I was built for it.
It wasn’t an easy decision.
The fear of failing—or never finding my way back into the industry—was real. But I made the leap anyway, stepping into the unknown.
Then the world shifted. The pandemic hit, everything stopped, and the future I’d imagined felt even more uncertain.
But I didn’t quit. I leaned in. I took on a full gut renovation, not knowing it would be the turning point.
By chance, I met a major investor interested in flipping houses. One project led to another—and before I knew it, I was in deep.
Twenty houses later, I had built a whole new skill set, a solid network, the respect of tradespeople across my city, and a career I never saw coming.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is-
Entrepreneurship isn’t about a perfect path. It’s about resilience, embracing the uncertainty, and taking action when it’s not easy. It’s about building connections, trusting your instincts, and being okay with making mistakes. Because at the end of the day, those lessons are what shape you into the business owner you want to become.
Five years later, my design business is thriving.
My days are filled with client calls, design consultations, and constantly being inspired by the incredible people I work with. It’s hard to believe how far I’ve come from that uncertain time. There’s a saying that really resonates with me now: “Success is not linear.” It’s been a series of pivots, unexpected opportunities, and a willingness to trust the process.
Growth doesn't happen without rislk.
Surrounding yourself with other entrepreneurs who have a growth mindset, who are just as passionate and driven as you are—that energy is contagious. It’s a constant reminder that we’re all in this together. You don’t have to have it all figured out—you just have to be willing to take the leap and trust that the journey will lead you to where you’re meant to be.
There will always be moments when you’re unsure, when you question whether you’re on the right path. But if you follow your passion, stay committed, and build the right connections, you can turn those uncertain moments into something powerful.
So if you're feeling stuck, or unsure of your next move, just know that I’ve been there. And I’m here to help you take that first step—whether it’s setting up your business, building your confidence, or simply finding the right support. You’ve got this. The journey might be messy, but it’s so worth it.
If you’re ready to take the leap, even if it scares you, I’m here to show you how to build a business that reflects your passion and purpose.
Ready to Build the Business of Your Dreams?
I’ll help you navigate the challenges, set clear goals, and connect with a community of like-minded entrepreneurs so you can grow with confidence, creativity, and purpose.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been driven by a single purpose: to create. Whether it’s through the art I design, the spaces I transform as an interior designer, or the renovations I bring to life as a contractor, creating beautiful, meaningful things is what motivates me every day. But when I first started out as a self-employed entrepreneur, I quickly realized that passion alone wouldn’t pay the bills.
In the beginning, I worked multiple jobs to fund my dream, pouring every extra dollar from my side hustles into my businesses and continuing education. It wasn’t easy, but I knew I had to build a strong foundation if I wanted my business to grow. While technical skills were obviously crucial, I soon discovered that soft skills—things like empathy, intuition, and the ability to read the room—were just as essential in navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship. Learning how to negotiate, communicate effectively, and manage relationships with clients, partners, and contractors made a huge difference in moving my business forward.
It was in my hardest moments—when I was fighting self-doubt or feeling the weight of imposter syndrome—that I reached out to other entrepreneurs. Having a network of like-minded business owners, especially other women who understood the struggles of entrepreneurship, was a game-changer. They lifted me up, offered tough love when I needed it, and gave me the encouragement and honesty I needed to push through the tough days.
There’s a unique energy that comes from being around people who are constantly pushing themselves to improve, learning new things, and celebrating each other’s wins. It’s contagious. When you connect with others who are equally committed to growth and progress, it fuels your own ambition and reminds you that you’re not alone in this journey.
I’ve been where they are—scrappy, overwhelmed, and trying to figure it out. Now I help creatives build real businesses with solid tools, honest advice, and a community that’s in it for the long haul.
It’s about building something bigger than yourself—and with the right support, you can create the business and the life you’ve always dreamed of.
